Banana-Berry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 small banana
  • 6 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c. ice
  • 6 oz. blueberries
  • 6 oz. raspberries or blackberries
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. grated peeled fresh ginger

Directions:

  1. In blender, purée banana, pineapple juice, ice, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries, honey, and ginger until smooth.

Peach-Mango Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 c. coconut water
  • 1/2 c. plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 c. frozen sliced peaches
  • 1 c. frozen mango chunks

Directions:

  1. Add coconut water and yogurt to blender, then top with peaches and mango. Puree until smooth.

Coconut Raspberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c. low-fat milk
  • 1/2 c. low-fat coconut-flavored yogurt
  • 2 c. frozen raspberries
  • 2 bananas, peeled and cut into pieces
  • Toasted coconut and raspberries, for serving

Directions:

  1. Step 1Using immersion blender, blend together milk and coconut-flavored yogurt with frozen raspberries and bananas.
  2. Step 2Serve topped with toasted coconut and raspberries.

APPLE CARROT BEET SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

  • 1 red beet, medium, trimmed, cut into 2-inch chunks
  • 1 apple, any variety, cut into 2-inch chunks
  • 3 carrots, ends trimmed, cut into 2-inch chunks
  • 1 orange, juiced
  • 1 2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 cup cold water

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in the pitcher of a high-powered blender, and blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Use the tamper if needed.The ingredients to make the smoothie in a high-powered blender, and then blended up.
  2. Pour the smoothie into glasses and enjoy right away, or chill in the fridge to enjoy later.

Mixed Berries and Banana Smoothie (and Smoothie Bowl)

Ingredients:

Smoothie:

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1 frozen ripe banana
  • 1 teaspoon honey, optional

Toppings for a Smoothie Bowl:

  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh raspberries
  • 2 dollops low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons granola
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

Directions:

  1. For the smoothie: Combine the berries, orange juice, yogurt, banana and honey, if using, in a blender and puree until smooth.
  2. For the toppings: Pour the smoothie into a bowl. Top with the blueberries, raspberries, vanilla yogurt and granola. Sprinkle with the chia seeds.

Mango, Strawberry, and Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 mango, skin removed, cut into 1-inch dice, frozen
  • 5 strawberries, stems removed, cut half, frozen
  • 1 cup diced pineapple
  • 1 cup orange juice

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth, about 2 to 3 minutes. Drink immediately.

Mixed Berries and Banana Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup orange juice

Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt 
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 frozen bananas, chopped into chunks
  • Kosher salt (if peanut butter is unsalted)
  • Suggested toppings: chopped almonds, sliced bananas, cacao nibs, chia seeds, hemp seeds, peanut butter drizzle

Directions:

  1. Put the almond milk, ice, yogurt, peanut butter, chia seeds, vanilla, bananas and a pinch of salt, if using, in a blender and puree until creamy and smooth, 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Pour into individual bowls and sprinkle with toppings of your choice.

Cherry-Almond Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 2 cups frozen pitted cherries
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup low-fat yogurt
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

  1. Combine the banana, cherries, almond milk, yogurt and 1 tablespoon honey in a blender and puree until smooth. Adjust the sweetness with additional honey.

Green Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Ice, for thickening
  • Toppings of choice

Directions:

  1. Add the spinach, almond milk, chia seeds, banana and avocado to the pitcher of a blender and blend. Depending on the power of the appliance, you may need to stop it, stir the ingredients and then continue blending. If the consistency is too thin, blend in some ice cubes. Transfer to a bowl, add toppings, and enjoy with a spoon!
