Indications

Here is a list of potential patients who may benefit from Ultrasound (US) guided peripheral IV because their veins are often “difficult to access” with the standard approach:

  • Numerous Failed attempts (>2 attempts)
  • Diabetics
  • Vascular Diseases
  • Morbidly Obese
  • End stage Renal Disease
  • Sickle Cell disease
  • IV drug users
  • Dehydrated
  • Chemotherapy patient (damaged veins)
