Indications
Here is a list of potential patients who may benefit from Ultrasound (US) guided peripheral IV because their veins are often “difficult to access” with the standard approach:
- Numerous Failed attempts (>2 attempts)
- Diabetics
- Vascular Diseases
- Morbidly Obese
- End stage Renal Disease
- Sickle Cell disease
- IV drug users
- Dehydrated
- Chemotherapy patient (damaged veins)
