3. Flatbreads(Roti, Paratha)

Pizza paratha


for dough:

  • 2 cup wheat flour / atta
  • 2½ tsp oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • water to knead

for stuffing:

  • 1½ cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 2 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ capsicum (red & green, finely chopped)
  • 5 olives (finely chopped)
  • 5 jalapeno (finely chopped)
  • ¼ tsp salt

other ingredients:

  • ¼ cup wheat flour / atta
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 tsp mixed herbs (basil, marjoram, oregano, rosemary, sage, thyme)
  • oil for roasting


  1. pinch a ball sized dough, roll and flatten it. also dust with some wheat flour.
  2. spread 2 tsp of pizza sauce leaving the space from sides
  3. place 1 tbsp full of prepared pizza stuffing in the centre.
  4. sprinkle ¼ tsp chilli flakes and ¼ tsp mixed herbs.
  5. take the edge and start pleating bringing to centre.
  6. also join the pleats together and secure tight.
  7. sprinkle some flour and roll slightly thick.
  8. place the paratha on a hot tawa and cook for a minute.
  9. furthermore, when the base is partly cooked (after a minute), flip the pizza paratha.
  10. also brush oil / ghee and press slightly. flip again once or twice till both the sides are cooked properly.
  11. finally, serve hot pizza paratha or cheese paratha with sauce.
