Soft-Boiled Eggs and Toast


Ingredient Checklist

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices bread, well-toasted
  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper


Step 1. Place eggs in a medium saucepan. Cover with cold water. Bring to the boil over high heat, stirring occasionally.

Step 2. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 3 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Using a slotted spoon, transfer eggs to egg cups. Using a spoon, carefully remove tops from eggs.

Step 3. Toast bread and cut into fingers. 1 slice into about 4 fingers.

Step 4. Serve with toast fingers.
