Vanilla Buttercream

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 lb. confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 c. unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Sift the confectioners’ sugar into a large bowl.
  2. Using an electric mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Reduce the mixer to low and gradually add the sugar, alternating with the heavy cream. Mix in the vanilla.
  4. Increase the speed to high and beat until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
