What are signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis?

Anaphylaxis is recognized by the following signs and symptoms:7

  • Severe rash or hives
  • Shortness of breath
  • Wheezing
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Weak, rapid heartbeat
  • Swelling of the face, tongue, or throat     
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • A feeling of impending doom
