What are the stages of hypothermia?

Hypothermia stages include mild, moderate, and severe. Mild hypothermia is characterized by a body temperature of 90 to 95 degrees F (32.2 to 35 degrees C) and shivering, rapid breathing, increased heart rate, and lack of coordination. Moderate hypothermia is defined as a body temperature of 82.4 to 89.9 degrees F (28 to 32.2 degrees C) with slower breathing and heart rate, dilated pupils, decreased reflexes, and low blood pressure. Severe hypothermia is a body temperature of less than 82.4 degrees F (28 degrees C) and nonreactive pupils, heart failure, difficulty breathing, and cardiac arrest.
